Cinder is a male dragon scale halfmoon plakat Betta. Most amazing pet store Betta find since Damien, my black Betta.
A true halfmoon is pretty rare at a pet store, and so is a plakat that isn't labeled "Female Betta". So a true halfmoon plakat labeled as a male, that is also a dragonscale is such a rare find that as soon as I saw him I knew he was the fish I was getting! I considered a veiltail, but it came down to Cinder, or the (gorgeous) red veiltail with ripped fins. Obviously I made the choice of the healthy, rare fish. I didn't even know he was a full halfmoon until I got him home!
